ACTIVITIES OF UNION PARISAD
Mandatory Functions:- * To maintain law and order and assist the administration in this regard.* To take various measures to suppress crime and smuggling.* Agriculture, plantation, fisheries and animal husbandry, health, cottage industry, irrigation communication.* Promotion of family planning programmes. .* Development of local resources and ensuring their utilization.* Conservation of public property like roads, bridges, culverts, dams, canals, telephones, electricity etc.
* Encouraging people to use sanitary latrines.

* Registration of births and deaths, blind, beggars and destitutes.

* All types of inventory management.
Solving various problems, village court, Shalis, development, implementation of projects, implementation of government plans and projects, provision of various services, issuance of various certificates including civil certificates, inheritance certificates, death certificates, safe water supply, conducting educational programs, maintaining law and order, roads -Construction of Ghats, Pool-Culverts etc.
