Union Digital Center
Union Information and Service Center is a state-of-the-art Information and Knowledge Center (Telecenter) established by the Union Parishad whose objective is to ensure information services at the doorstep of grassroots people. From this center, the people of rural towns can easily get life and livelihood related information and necessary services in a familiar environment near their homes.
On November 11, 2010, the Honorable Prime Minister inaugurated all the Union Information and Service Centers (UISC) simultaneously from her office and the Administrator of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and former Prime Minister of New Zealand Ms. Helen Clark from Char Kukrimukri Union of Bhola district through video conference. About 40 lakh people are receiving information and services from these centers every month.
